This is a full-time opportunity with a leading telecommunications infrastructure provider. The role focuses on large-scale fiber optic construction, including building high-capacity networks to support critical infrastructure such as data centers.
The standout feature of this role is full ownership of major fiber construction initiatives. This is a high-visibility, high-impact leadership position where you’ll be trusted to make field decisions, drive timelines, and lead teams through complex builds. They are looking for someone who has deep, hands-on experience in telecom construction and can operate independently in high-pressure environments. This role offers the chance to lead critical infrastructure projects, influence large-scale network expansion, and work closely with senior leadership while building and mentoring high-performing teams.
Required Skills & Experience
- 15+ years of experience in telecom construction (OSP/ISP fiber)
- 3–5+ years in a leadership role managing teams or managers
- Strong experience with fiber optic construction practices and materials
- Proven ability to manage largescale construction projects end-to-end
- Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and cost control
- Ability to read and interpret construction prints and engineering designs
- Strong vendor management and field coordination experience
- Experience working with municipalities, permitting, and ROW processes
- Proficiency with project tracking and reporting tools
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to job sites
Desired Skills & Experience
- Experience building fiber networks to data centers
- Background working with large telecom or infrastructure providers
- Familiarity with GIS and construction management systems
- Experience managing multiregion or high-volume deployments

Daily Responsibilities
- Oversee fiber construction projects from planning through completion
- Manage and mentor a team of construction managers and field personnel
- Coordinate with vendors, inspectors, and municipalities to ensure progress
- Monitor project budgets, timelines, and overall performance
- Conduct site visits and make realtime decisions to keep projects on track
- Ensure compliance with construction standards, safety, and quality expectations
- Track project milestones and maintain accurate documentation and reporting
- Support permitting and engineering teams to resolve issues and delays
- Provide regular updates to leadership and stakeholders on project status
