Kelly Services has a temp-to-hire opportunity for a PURCHASING CUSTOMER SERVICE SPECIALIST. This 1st shift position is in Columbus, OH and pays $20-$30/hour (depending on experience). Please review the JOB DESCRIPTION/REQUIREMENTS below, and should you qualify, follow the instructions to apply.
PAY: $20-$30/hour
HOURS/DAYS: Monday-Friday (8:30am-5:00pm)
JOB OVERVIEW:
This position ensures the supply chain functions in that all raw materials are secured in time and meet specifications for production needs. In this role you will also be responsible for guaranteeing that finished products are delivered on time to meet customers’ expectations.
JOB DESCRIPTION/REQUIREMENTS:
*Responsible for day to day ordering of raw materials and packaging by monitoring consumption and setting replenishment stock levels using MRP reports.
*Costing and validating costs of materials and stock items and update as necessary in the ERP system
*Look for opportunities to make cost savings and efficiency goals to help grow company profits
*Work directly with all departments to confirm availability/need of raw materials
*Respond promptly to customer inquiries and follow up as required.
*Process sales orders requests and confirm back to the customer the appropriate delivery date.
*Schedule transportation for inbound & outbound freight
*Document all customer interactions and transactions.
*Previous procurement/purchasing experience required (food science/manufacturing background a plus)
