Kelly Services is seeking a Blending and Packaging Operator for a local food manufacturing facility in Plant City, FL!!



Shift and Compensation


M-F with occasional Saturday 6:30am to 4:30pm – $15/hr



Quality, Safety, Maintenance, Warehouse and Materials Management throughout the day.


Duties consist of the following:



  • complete machine ownership by performing scheduled preventative maintenance, monitoring process flow ability, safety, and quality issues.

  • Sets up and controls the operation of the production line.

  • Utilizes basic knowledge of mechanical and electrical theory in performing assignments.

  • Operates common hand or power tools.

  • Suggests methods for improving production equipment, processes, or operating conditions.



BASIC REQUIRMENTS:



  • Minimum of one 1 year of food manufacturing experience.

  • High school diploma/GED or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Must be able to effectively communicate verbally and in writing in the English language.

  • Excellent organizational and planning skills needed to maximize job efficiency.

  • Must be able to frequently lift and/or move up to 55 pounds.

  • Must be able stand for prolonged periods of times, up to 12 hours.

  • Must be able to work with minimal supervision.

  • Must be able to work in a manufacturing environment with the possibility of minor dusting from the processing of food products is required.

  • Must be computer literate; be able to perform basic data entry into computer software ERP system and Microsoft Office applications.

  • Must be able to perform basic mathematical calculations i.e. percentages, fractions, etc. .

  • Must be able to operate and read scales in pounds, grams and kilograms.

  • Must be able to follow good manufacturing practices, work safely and achieve results in a team environment.

  • Must be able to work in a non-climate controlled environment.

  • Must have mobility in all areas of the plant including confined spaces.

  • Must be able to be punctual and meet expectations for regular attendance.

  • Must have attention to detail and be able to perform several tasks concurrently in a fast-paced environment.

  • Must be able to frequently fill and empty 55 gallon drums and mtek boxes.

  • Understand basic physical properties of raw materials and intermediates used.

  • Must be able to safely operate a forklift and be able to attend forklift training course.

  • Must be able to safely dispense and use chemicals while using proper Personal Protective Equipment PPE
