This is a great position for a candidate that thrives in a fast paced, energetic manufacturing environment. We are currently looking for an administrative assistant who likes to wear many hats. This job will require a lot of scanning, stocking and checking inventory for production workers, answering phones, etc..


This is a temp to perm role paying $16 per hour in Darlington, SC.


General Duties:

• Maintain Confidential Employee Records (job status, training, vacation).

• Collect Approved Hours from Supervision and Process Timekeeping.

• Answer basic payroll and benefits questions for employees.

• Perform daily Kanban Replenishment walk in the plant and restock “Consumable” (high turnover) items as needed. Minimal inventory with zero stock outs required.

• Process Purchasing Requests and Create Purchase Orders.

• Manage Suppliers of office and operational supplies, uniforms and other items.

• Assist in managing the paperwork-receiving process for Purchased Materials.

• Manage the receiving paperwork for incoming materials and work with corporate accounting to perform a 3-way match (PO to Receiver to Invoice).

• Learn to process all shipping paperwork for outgoing materials.

• Learn to locate and coordinate full truck load and LTL shipments for both inbound and outbound freight, as required.

• Manage process control data and logs, as required into excel spreadsheets and other digital formats, per our strict Quality System requirements. Maintain files and record management per our Quality System.

• Handle incoming phone calls and other general inquiries of a non-specific nature

• Maintain Environmental, Health and Safety Records and Reports.

• Organize accounting and employee information for forwarding to Headquarters on a daily, weekly and monthly basis as required.

• Offer general clerical and administrative assistance to the Executive V.P. and his staff upon direction.



Skill Set Required:

• Excellent math skills and verbal and written communication

• Able to work in heat and dust, lift 40 lbs routinely

• Able to use Email, Word and Excel at a more than proficient level

• Able to learn new clerical tasks, quickly and effectively

• Flexible worker, deals well with multiple tasks of a varying nature

• Strong work ethic, on time attendance performance and reliability.
