Kelly Services, a global leader in staffing solutions, is seeking a Production Specialist for one of our top clients in Newark, DE
Pay: $19/hour
Responsibilities:
Monitors and operates equipment and facilities, including field equipment, insuring quality and conformance with standard operating procedures. Maintains safety standards at all times and initiates and follows emergency procedures when necessary. Rotates through various roles within the area, including, in some cases, a control room rotation.
Job Duties:
This is a General Operator position. The operator will primarily perform substrate roll movement from the webforming process to the temporary cutdown and inspection station and back. Additionally, the candidate will be required to transport felt scraps via fork truck to the recycling trailer. Candidate must be physically fit and capable of daily activities that can be physically tiresome. The preference would be for an individual with prior Powered Industrial Truck (fork truck) experience.
1) Operating Fork Lift Trucks
a. Operator must have a valid State Driver’s License
b. DuPont to provide Power Industrial Truck (PIT) certification
c. Operator must use a forktruck on a daily basis to move 90” rolls of felt substrate.
d. Operator must use a forktruck on a daily basis to move multi stack felt raw material bundles.
2) Ability to Wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
a. Must be able to wear gloves, steel toe shoes, hard hat, safety glasses and ear plugs.
3) Needle Board Needle Replacement
a. Removing broken needles from the NL-9 and NL-21 needle boards
b. Replacing needles in the NL-9 and NL-21 boards
4) Cleaning and Housekeeping Activities
a. Keeping felt raw material off of the floor and swept
b. Removing felt raw material from equipment and area walls
c. Organizing buffer inventory carts between process modules
Schedule:
This will be a day shift, 12 hour position. One contractor will be on my day A shift and the other operator will be on my day C shift. The schedule is a 2-week, rotating schedule and operates as follows: Sunday- A shift Monday-A shift Tuesday-B shift Wednesday-B shift Thursday – A shift Friday – A shift Saturday – B shift Sunday – B shift Monday – B shift Tuesday- A shift Wednesday- A shift Thursday – B shift Friday – B shift Saturday – A shift From this point you would start back at the beginning. The schedule is designed such that an employee receives 36 hours one week and 48 hours the other week and every other week receives a 3 day weekend.
