Shipping & Receiving – DuPont in Newark, DE


 


The job involves:



  • Shipping & receiving responsibilities

  • Prepare material for shipping through material put-away, picking orders, verification of shipments and packaging

  • Pull material for delivery to the manufacturing areas

  • Manage the daily process

  • Prepare pallets for shipping

  • Load trucks

  • Perform weekly cycle count on finished goods & supplies

  • Use of reach truck, stand-up and sit-down forklift, order picker and pallet jack.  Order picker will go 25-30 feet in the air, and you will be harnessed. Responsible for accurate inventory levels.

  • Monday-Friday

  • Choose 6 am-2:30 pm or 11 am-7:30 pm

  • $15.25

  • Time and a half after 40.

  • Long term/open-ended contract

  • Paid weekly

  • Benefits available


 


Requirements:



  • HSD or GED

  • Minimum 1 year of warehouse, manufacturing, production or material handling.   Inventory control experience would be helpful.

  • Forklift experience is preferred but company will train.

  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs. and be comfortable operating multiple types of equipment, sometimes 30 feet off the ground.

  • Familiarity with the total shipping, receiving, & inventory processes is preferred.

  • Excellent computer knowledge and data entry skills are required. Experience using SAP is preferred

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work well with employees in other departments as required.

  • Ability to operate material handling equipment (i.e. Reach truck, Sit down forklift).

  • Knowledge of DOT regulations for shipping/handling of hazardous materials preferred.


 


 


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:



  • The ability to work in seated or standing positions for prolonged periods of time

  • Able to perform sustained manual activities at moderate to heavy levels of exertion, including lifting and moving loads of a minimum of 50 pounds

  • Climb ladders/stairs, work on elevated platforms (Powered Industrial Order Picker Trucks) at a height of ground level to 30 feet high

  • Use hand tools and operate fixed and mobile plant equipment; work and travel throughout plant environment of varied temperatures and humidity; a full range of motion; and to wear personal protective devices.


 


WORKING ENVIRONMENT: The working environment is a warehouse setting. Daily contact with employees in other departments may be required
