Now Hiring Rubber Set Up Operators-
(7pm-7am) $14.00 hr – must be able to work overtime.
Operates all of the rubber equipment. Keeps the area clean, records production and performs any rubber department duties. This position reports to the Rubber Business Cell Leader.
Requirements- High school diploma or GED, minimum.
Qualifications and Requirements
Knowledge of basic computer skills preferred. · Ability to make basic mathematical calculations. · Ability to work overtime, weekends, and flexible schedule. · Ability to apply commonsense in understanding and carry out inspections furnished in written, oral or diagram form.
Responsibilities As a condition of employment, the incumbent shall learn, abide by and sponsor the Guiding Principles of the Freudenberg Group. · Understand, abide by and promote the FNGP safety policies and practices at all times. · Understand and support the FNGP Growth and Lean Process for continual improvement including leadership and facilitation of activities. · Understand and support the FNGP Quality Policy and associated guidelines, processes and requirements as necessary to ensure continual company value, customer satisfaction and market status. · Understand and support the FNGP Environmental Policy and assure compliance.
Job Specific · Performs rubber testing for all compounds. · Weighs up chemicals to make rubber using computer controlled weigh up equipment. · Uses hand held knife to cut rubber off of the mill. · Operates extruders to extrude rubber rope. · Operates barwell pre-former for cutting rubber into prep form.
Responsibilities and Duties · Performs 5-S (Cleaning) within the department. · Observes all safety rules and uses good safety work habits. · Performs all related job duties as required.
Environment · Loud production environment, primarily. · Environment includes moderately high heat and dust. · Works in close proximity to moving equipment.
Major portion of work schedule (95%) is spent walking, standing, stooping, bending, and repetitively lifting up to 35 lbs. · Mill operation requires twisting, reaching, supporting roll of rubber on the mill and transferring (Cart-to-cart) of up to 220 lbs. · Wears dust mask, leather gloves, safety glasses and safety shoes, major portion of shift. · Visual requirements include – close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
