Location: Rochester, NY
Pay range: $19.25 – $24.50/hour + $1.75 shift differential (pay is negotiable for more experience)
Schedule: Sunday – Thursday | 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM
This is a permanent position with full benefits that start day 1

Position Overview
The Quality Technician II reports directly to the QA Manager and collaborates with all levels of the organization. This role plays a key part in maintaining and improving the Quality Management System (QMS), supporting continuous improvement initiatives, and ensuring products meet customer specifications and compliance standards. You’ll work closely with operations and quality leadership to ensure process control and product conformity.
Key Responsibilities

Review job tickets for specifications and special instructions

Follow all standard operating procedures related to the role and department

Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams on order status and completion

Perform visual inspections and finished product audits to ensure quality standards are met

Complete and maintain detailed quality documentation

Document inspections and identify non-conformances
-
Utilize ERP systems (Amtech preferred) to support production and QA processes
-
Participate in internal quality audits
-
Use measurement tools to inspect product accuracy and consistency

Assist in resolving quality issues and customer complaints
-
Review, approve, and file job folders and customer samples
-
Complete Certificates of Compliance (C of C) and Certificates of Assurance (C of A)

Provide technical support to production teams

Support shift decision-making and escalate critical issues as needed

Help revise and maintain QA work instructions

Maintain clear communication during shift transitions
-
Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized workspace

Assist with product sorting and other duties as assigned
Qualifications
-
High school diploma or GED required
-
1–3 years of quality assurance experience (manufacturing preferred)
-
Ability to read and interpret job tickets, safety rules, and procedures

Strong attention to detail and accuracy

Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division)

Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel

Experience with ISO9001 standards preferred

General understanding of manufacturing processes preferred

Ability to maintain detailed records and documentation
-
Comfortable using measurement tools for inspection

Must pass color vision (Munsell 100) test
-
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
-
Reliable, dependable, and able to maintain good attendance

Willingness to work overtime as needed
