Job Description: HR Assistant – Temp to Hire

Location: Onsite – Auburn, WA
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 40 hours/week; flexible between 7:30 AM – 5:30 PM
Pay Rate: $22–$27/hr (target $25/hr; $26–$27/hr for exceptional candidates)
Employment Type: Temp to hire (conversion expected within 6 months or less)

Role Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented, organized HR Assistant to support daily HR operations, serve as a point of contact for employees, and maintain accurate HR records. This role requires someone who is flexible, proactive, and able to manage multiple tasks while maintaining confidentiality. Bilingual candidates are highly preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

Serve as the HR point of contact for employees and management.

Manage front desk responsibilities, including greeting visitors and handling employee inquiries.

Assist with background checks, drug tests, and onboarding processes.

Prepare and maintain new hire documentation, employment forms, and personnel files.

Update HR databases and tracking spreadsheets accurately.

Coordinate HR-related projects and events as needed.

Support reporting requirements and track HR metrics.

Ensure compliance with employment laws and company policies.

Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information and handle multiple priorities efficiently.

Preferred Skills & Experience:

Bilingual in any language (highly preferred)

Proficient in Microsoft Office / MS Suite

2+ years of relevant HR or office administration experience

Project coordination and event planning experience

Strong organizational, multitasking, and communication skills

Knowledge of employment law and HR compliance

Comfortable managing a front desk environment
