Marketing Communications Project Manager I
Pay Rate: $26.76 per hour
Duration: 12-months contract
Location: Madison, WI 53718
Work Set up: Hybrid
Position Overview:
We are seeking a Communications Project Manager to support the development and execution of communications initiatives across multiple business functions. This role will focus on building, managing, and organizing scalable communications workflows and content systems while coordinating projects related to growth initiatives, HR programs, IT security, and safety topics.
The ideal candidate will bring strong project management capabilities and the ability to translate complex business topics into clear, structured communications for stakeholders. This role requires deep familiarity with AI and Large Language Models (LLMs) to help generate, refine, and scale communications content while improving the efficiency, consistency, and repeatability of team workflows.
Success in this role will require a blend of communications strategy, AI-enabled content development, workflow design, and operational project management to partner on how communications are planned, produced, and delivered across the organization.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and deliver communications initiatives across growth, HR, IT, safety, and AI-related projects to support organizational objectives.
- Organize, build, and manage scalable communications workflows, enabling efficient development, review, and multi-channel distribution of content.
- Leverage AI and Large Language Models (LLMs) to generate, edit, and refine communications content while maintaining consistent brand voice and messaging.
- Manage timelines, open and close project jobs, track schedules, and report updates to internal stakeholders using Adobe Workfront™ and Microsoft Planner.
- Ensure all communications meet company standards, including AP Style Guide adherence, quality, clarity, and project specifications
Must Haves:
- 3–5 years of experience in marketing, communications, or project management.
- Proven ability to use CRM, marketing automation, or workflow management systems (e.g., Workfront, HubSpot, Microsoft Planner).
- Demonstrated experience utilizing AI/LLM tools for content support and workflow improvement.
- Strong organizational and project management abilities with a track record of meeting deadlines and managing multiple priorities.
- Exceptional verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills; ability to simplify complex topics for diverse audiences.
Nice to have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, English, or a related field.
- Corporate or cross-functional team communications experience in a large or matrixed organization.
- Familiarity with prompt engineering and emerging generative AI tools (Copilot, ChatGPT, Claude).
- Knowledge of responsible AI practices in communications workflows.
- Experience with process optimization and workflow automation in communications project management.
