SAP Maintenance Planner
Location: Lethbridge, AB
Schedule: Monday to Friday – Day shift, with some Saturdays during busy season
Pay: $27.98/hr + 4% vacation pay
Term: April 30, 2026 to April 29, 2027

Position Overview
This position is directly accountable to the Maintenance Supervisor of the Lethbridge Canola Seed Processing Facility. The SAP Maintenance Planner is responsible for planning preventive maintenance and repairs for machinery and equipment in Seed Cleaning, Seed Treating & Packaging, Bulk Seed Shipping & Receiving, and the Warehouse.
Key Responsibilities
- Use SAP (work orders/costing/stores) to plan all maintenance activities at the facility.
- Maintain and update SAP master data to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Track and manage parts inventory, reordering as needed.
- Plan and schedule preventive maintenance and repairs for equipment across multiple facility areas.
- Collaborate with maintenance staff and contractors to optimize workflow and scheduling.
- Assist the Maintenance Manager with KPI achievement by minimizing downtime and ensuring audit-ready inventory.
- Support budget objectives through strategic planning and cost estimation.
- Promote and support safety, security, and quality standards.
Qualifications
- Degree, diploma, or secondary school completion required.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a maintenance department (or contracting company providing plant maintenance), with experience as a planner or scheduler.
- 3–5 years’ experience in a similar role preferred.
- SAP experience preferred.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong time management skills and experience scheduling workers’ time.
- High proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project.
- Advanced knowledge of SAP (Work Orders, Costing, Stores) required.
- Demonstrated flexibility and detail-oriented approach.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to foster positive relationships with Production teams in Cleaning, Yard, Packaging, and Warehouse.
- Ability to provide clear, concise instructions to enhance team effectiveness and productivity for staff and contractors.
- Capable of managing parts orders and adhering to timelines for planned jobs.
- Good mechanical and electrical knowledge of parts and systems.
- Demonstrated work ethic, reliability, and punctuality.
- Able to follow established procedures and standards.
