Schedule: Monday – Friday
– 2nd shift 2:30 PM – 11:00 PM
Reports To: Sanitation Supervisor
Pay Range: $21.00 – $23.00 per hour


Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Sanitation Team Member (CIP Specialist) to support our food manufacturing operations. This role is responsible for executing daily cleaning and sanitation processes to ensure all production equipment meets strict food safety and quality standards.

The ideal candidate will have experience with Clean-in-Place (CIP) systems, strong mechanical aptitude, and the ability to work cross-functionally with production, maintenance, and quality assurance teams.


Key Responsibilities

  • Perform cleaning and sanitation of production equipment following established schedules and procedures


  • Operate and maintain Clean-in-Place (CIP) and Clean-out-of-Place (COP) systems


  • Utilize acid and alkaline cleaning solutions safely and effectively


  • Disassemble and reassemble equipment, including positive displacement and centrifugal pumps


  • Follow all Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) safety procedures during cleaning operations


  • Complete and document all sanitation activities accurately and in a timely manner


  • Collaborate with Quality Assurance to ensure compliance with food safety and quality standards


  • Coordinate sanitation activities with production and team members to support daily operations


  • Inspect equipment and report maintenance issues or improvement opportunities


  • Prepare and reassemble equipment for the next day’s production run


Qualifications & Skills

  • 3–4 years of experience in sanitation within a food manufacturing environment


  • Hands-on experience with CIP systems (preferred)


  • Strong understanding of food safety, sanitation, and quality standards (GMP, HACCP)


  • Mechanical aptitude with the ability to disassemble, troubleshoot, and reassemble equipment


  • Familiarity with cleaning chemicals and proper handling procedures


  • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office


  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety


  • Excellent organizational and time management skills


  • Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment


  • Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
