Residential Lighting Sales Specialist – Immediate Need!!!

Job Summary:
Join a premier residential lighting showroom as a Residential Lighting Sales Specialist! You will be the face of our high-end brand, engaging with homeowners, designers, architects, and contractors to offer sophisticated lighting solutions tailored to their needs. Whether it’s a statement chandelier or elegant fixtures for new builds, your expertise and consultative approach will ensure every customer receives exceptional service and design guidance.

Compensation & Schedule:
- Pay Rate: $21.50–$23.00/hour (based on experience)
- Hours: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM, Monday–Friday
- Type: Temp-to-perm (conversion to full-time with base salary, commission, and benefits)
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Welcome and assist showroom customers; manage incoming calls professionally
- Evaluate customer needs and recommend premium lighting solutions, including high-ticket luxury items
- Educate clients and trade professionals on product features, finishes, and installation options
- Foster ongoing relationships to encourage repeat business and referrals
- Conduct outbound prospecting and cold calling to generate new leads
- Represent the showroom at trade shows and community events
- Achieve individual sales targets and contribute to overall team KPIs
- Maintain organized records and manage customer interactions using CRM systems
- Stay up to date on industry trends, new product lines, and competitor offerings
Qualifications & Skills:
- College degree OR 3–5 years’ sales experience (retail or field preferred)
- Proven track record of sales success, especially with luxury or high-end products
- Strong customer-centric mindset with energetic, friendly professionalism
- Confident communicator who can present high-value solutions effectively
- Coachable, eager to learn, and open to feedback
- Reliable work history
- Retail sales/customer service experience a plus
- Ability to build rapport with designers, architects, and contractors
- Technical knowledge of lighting products helpful
- Strong multitasking skills in a busy showroom environment
- Familiarity with CRM and point-of-sale systems advantageous
