Job Title: Material Handler
Location: Port Wentworth, Ga 31407
Shift: Monday-Friday 6am -2pm. OT is Mandatory with some Saturdays
Pay: $18
Job Description:
We are seeking energetic and reliable Material Handlers to join our team. The Material Handler is responsible for moving materials, supplies, and finished goods throughout the facility or onto trucks, either manually or using a hand truck. Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Perform various material handling duties in the facility, manually or with a hand truck
- Load finished products onto pallets or hand trucks
- Stack skids or pallets in designated areas
- Provide cleaning services as needed, including sweeping floors, cleaning offices, and removing trash
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area
- Perform any other related tasks as assigned
Skills, Experience, & Education:
Mandatory:
- High School Diploma/GED preferred
- Ability to stand and/or walk for up to 10-12 hours
- Able to lift and/or pull 50 lbs without restriction
- Regular bending, lifting, stretching, and reaching below the waist and above the head
- Able to cover large areas (facilities may exceed a quarter mile in length)
- Willingness to work in environments with variable noise levels, lighting, and temperature
- Ability to access all building areas without limitations
- Availability to work irregular or extended hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Strong attention to detail
Desired:
- Experience with heavy lifting or similar roles preferred
