What’s a typical day as an Avionics Installer IV? You will:
-
Lead, support, and assist technicians performing avionics installations on corporate aircraft.
-
Install, modify, and fabricate wiring, electrical components, and associated equipment per blueprints, engineering drawings, and worksheets.

Fabricate wire harnesses; terminate, ring-out, and assist with functional testing of avionics/electrical systems.

Provide work direction to technicians and ensure tasks are completed within scheduled time frames.

Coordinate with other departments to support on-time aircraft delivery.

Assist Engineering in troubleshooting and resolving system discrepancies.
-
Train and mentor team members, contributing to employee development and process improvement.

Maintain required logs and records in compliance with regulatory and customer specifications.

Enforce FOD, tool control, 5-S programs, and all safety regulations.

Inspect completed work (including team members’ work) to ensure defect-free assembly prior to final inspection.

Participate in continuous improvement initiatives such as YIAW and Kaizen events.
This job might be an outstanding fit if you have:

High School Diploma or GED required.
-
Two (2) years of accredited schooling in aviation electronics and two (2) years related work experience; or four (4) years of experience in an avionics/electronic career field.

Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematic diagrams.
-
Experience leading or directing technicians in a production or aviation environment.
-
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
-
Computer keyboard proficiency.
-
Proven ability to transition to new tasks with minimal impact to production goals and schedule.
