What’s a typical day as an Upholstery Technician II? You will:
Work with minimal supervision to fabricate and install upholstery and interior components for aircraft cabins following engineering drawings and aircraft specifications. Responsibilities include working with materials such as fabric, leather, vinyl, and composites while using sewing equipment, adhesives, hand tools, and power tools. You will cut and surge carpets, cover bulkheads, install panels, and assist with fitting windows and interior cabin components. Additional tasks include using the material tracking system to create parts demands, track squawks, and sign off completed work. You will also collaborate with team leads to support process improvements while maintaining safety, housekeeping, and Lean manufacturing standards.
This job might be an outstanding fit if you have:

High School Diploma or GED required

At least 2 years of upholstery, sewing, or carpet trade experience

Experience using commercial sewing machines, sergers, and upholstery hand tools

Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering documentation

Experience working with fabric, vinyl, leather, or similar materials

Ability to use measuring tools and perform basic math calculations

Basic computer literacy for digital tracking systems

Ability to climb ladders, work in confined spaces, and lift up to 40 lbs
-
Aerospace industry experience preferred but not required
